KARACHI AND SINDH POLITICS

Date: May 3, 2010, Monday.

Who will control this political crisis in Karachi?
MQM or PPP or Taliban or Jamaat-e-Islami or ANP…………………….
MQM is not ready to handover Karachi and Hyderabad to PPP in Local Government Election 2010

Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad has issued and signed fourth Sindh Local Government Amendment Ordinance on Saturday. It was the fourth time announcement to delay the hold of Sindh Local Government Election 2010. Sindh Local Governments of all the 22 districts were dissolved in February 2010. It is necessary to make sure the legislation within 90 days after dissolution of District Governments and to hold elections within next 30 days of legislation. Elections were scheduled in June firstly. But the Governor Sindh extended its date now fourth time up to November 2010. It was the only reason that Altaf Hussain's political party in Sindh MQM is not ready to handover Karachi and Hyderabad to PPP candidates. The compromise between the both parties is not being completed. In my opinion, there will be a great dangerous, critical and bad law and order situation created soon as the local government elections come closer. More than hundred persons were being killed each month for last six months in Karachi. Most of them are political workers. The last city Nazim of Karachi was from Jamaat-e-Islami. The next city Nazim Karachi would expectedly from PPP but MQM does not agree on this development and demand of PPP leadership. Who would control over this political crisis in Karachi?
